Coverage
No provider can guarantee 100% uptime, but we're as close as they come. Servers and systems simply must be brought down from time to time for routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure that your site will perform optimally.
We strive to keep such service interruptions to an absolute minimum and, if possible, give you advance notice of scheduled maintenance or upgrades that might effect you. We use only top quality brand name servers, switches, routers, and other networking hardware. This too translates in greater reliability and uptime. As a result, within our own data-center, we have been able to reach near 100% uptime (99.94% to be exact). In fact, our downtime in the past two years is less than what some of the major sites such as eBay, Amazon.com, Schwab routinely accumulate in a single month.
Of course, there will be times that you may not be able to reach your server, due to traffic conditions on the internet or problems occurring at our upstream providers facilities. Both of these conditions are entirely out of our control. However, if the problem occurs with our immediate upstream providers, we will do our utmost to have these providers correct the anomaly as soon as possible.
Uptime
Edge3 strives to maintain 99.9% service availability. Uptime coverage includes web site, email, and other virtual services only, third party control panel applications are excluded. While this is a goal, we do not offer an uptime guarantee unless service is disrupted for more than one(1) hour.
Credits
Edge3 does not offer credit for planned service downtime.
We do however offer credit for unplanned service outages greater than one(1) hour. If your service is disrupted for longer than one(1) hour, please submit a trouble ticket with the dates and times of the one(1) hour or greater outage and we will issue service credits accordingly. Our standard rate for credit is .50 per 24 hour day with a maximum credit up to your monthly plan charge. We will not issue credits for more than your monthly plan charge. All credits are applied to future hosting fees. We do not offer cash credits.
